Housing affordability in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá cenovou dostupností na trhu s bydlením v České republice. Práce je zaměřena jednak na chování spotřebitele na tomto trhu a na faktory, které ho při nákupu ovlivňují, ale také na trh nemovitostí, na obecné fungování trhu s bydlením, na jeho nabídku a poptávku a bytovou politiku České republiky. Dochází také ke zhodnocení stávající situace na trhu a faktorů, které dostupnost bydlení výrazně ovlivňují. Na základě shromážděných sekundárních dat a také výsledků z vlastního šetření pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů, došlo k navržení několika opatření a doporučení, která by mohla vést ke zlepšení situace na českém trhu s bydlením.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with housing affordability on the housing market in the Czech Republic. The thesis is focused, for one thing, on the consumer behaviour on this particular market, on factors influencing the purchase and, for another, on the market of real estates, on the general operating of housing market, on its supply and demand and on the Czech housing policy. There is also the evaluation of current situation on the market and of the factors markedly influencing the housing affordability. On the basis of gathered secondary data and results from own research using in-depth talks some measures and recommendations, which could help to improve the situation on the Czech housing market, are proposed.
