This thesis examines the concept of gaze and its influence on the perception of masculinity of the heroes from the literary world of Jane Austen. The examined work will be Austen's Pride and Prejudice and its main protagonists. First, the concepts of male and female gaze are introduced. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem a vyobrazením pohledu a jeho následným vlivem na maskulinitu postav z práce autorky Jane Austenové. Práce se zabývá knihou Pýcha a Předsudek a jejími postavami. Práce prvotně představí pojmy male gaze (mužský pohled) a female gaze (ženský pohled).
