Spotify model: case study Česká spořitelna, a.s.

Abstract:

Zaměřením této diplomové práce jsou organizační struktury, jež podporují dnes tak populární agilní přístup k vývoji softwaru, přičemž jsem se soustředil výhradně na Spotify model. Práce má stanoveny celkem tři cíle, přičemž hlavním z nich je porovnat teorii Spotify modelu s jeho aplikováním v praxi v České spořitelně, a.s. za účelem identifikace odlišností mezi teorií a praktickým využitím Spotify modelu v České spořitelně, a.s. Stanovených cílů i výsledků práce bylo dosaženo kombinací čtyř metod výzkumu. Primárním výsledkem práce je porovnání teorie Spotify modelu s jeho aplikování v praxi v České spořitelně, a.s. a současně porovnání teorie jednotlivých pracovních pozic definovaných Spotify modelem s jejich aplikováním v praxi v České spořitelně, a.s. Kombinací analýzy a interpretace zdrojů, případové studie, řízených rozhovorů a metody komparace bylo uvedeného výsledku dosaženo, který je reprezentován formou porovnávacích tabulek a souvislého textu. Druhým výsledkem práce, jež vychází z výsledku předcházejícího, je soupis doporučení, který může vedení České spořitelny, a.s. posloužit k optimalizaci stávajícího organizačního uspořádání či pracovní náplně a činností jednotlivých pracovních pozic, které jsou po vzoru Spotify modelu v České spořitelně, a.s. zavedeny. Součástí práce je také reakce vedení České spořitelny, a.s. k jednotlivým doporučením.

Abstract:

The focus of this thesis is organizational structures that support such a popular agile approach to software development, while I focused exclusively on the Spotify model. The work has set a total of three goals, where the main of them is to compare the theory of the Spotify model with its application in practice in Česká spořitelna, a.s. to identify the differences between the theory and practical use of the Spotify model in Česká spořitelna, a.s. Using four research methods, the set goals and results of the work were achieved. The primary result of the work is a comparison of the theory of the Spotify model with its application in practice in Česká spořitelna, a.s. and at the same time a comparison of the theory of individual job positions defined by the Spotify model with their application in practice in Česká spořitelna, a.s. Using a combination of analysis and interpretation of sources, case study, guided interviews, and the comparing method, the result was achieved, which is represented in the form of comparison tables and a coherent text. The second result of the work, which is based on the previous result, is a list of recommendations that may serve the management of Česká spořitelna, a.s. to optimize the existing organizational structure or job description and activities of individual job positions, which are introduced in the example of the Spotify model in Česká spořitelna, a.s. The work also includes the reaction of the management of Česká spořitelna, a.s. to the individual recommendations.
