The impact of vitamin C on the speed-power abilities of older school children

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním vitamínu C a jeho přímou souvislostí s případným zlepšením výkonu skupiny florbalistů staršího školního věku v rychlostně-silové schopnosti, zapomocí testu: člunkového běhu na 55 metrů. V teoretické části bude zacíleno především na funkci kyseliny askorbové v lidském těle a její využití ve sportu a pohybových schopnostech, následující část se bude zabývat praktickým testem, který se bude opakovat celkem třikrát, kdy v prvním a třetím kole testování bude využito u probandů roztoku vitamínu C a v druhém kole pouze placeba ve formě tekutiny. Testovací kola budou oddělena týdenní pauzou a naším cílem je potvrdit, či vyvrátit, zda u každého z testovaných dojde v kolech testů, kdy byl podán roztok s kyselinou askorbovou, k lepšímu výsledku, a tedy i lepšímu času v testu oproti druhému kolu s placebem. Po vyhodnocení skupiny testů pak bude s jistotou možné prohlásit hypotézu o kladném působení vitamínu C na rychlostně-silové schopnosti u dětí staršího školního věku v již zmiňovaném testu za potvrzenou, popřípadě vyvrácenou.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the study of vitamin C and its direct connection with the possible improvement of the performance of a group of older school-age floorball players in speed-power abilities, to help test: 55-meter jump. In the theoretical part will be focused primarily on the function of ascorbic acid in the human body and its use in sport and physical abilities, the next part will deal with a practical test, which will be repeated three times, when in the first and third round of testing will be used in probans of vitamin solution C and in the second round only placebo in the form of fluid. Test bikes will be separated by a weekly pause, and our goal is to confirm or refute whether each test will occur in rounds of tests where the ascorbic acid solution has a better result and therefore better test time than the other placebo. After the evaluation of the test group, it will be possible to say with certainty the hypothesis about the positive effect of vitamin C on speed-power abilities in older school-age children in the above-mentioned test for confirmed or possibly refuted.
