Defibrillation rhythms through the eyes of paramedic students

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na defibrilovatelné a nedefibrilovatelné rytmy v přednemocniční neodkladné péči. V teoretické části je stručně popsána anatomie a fyziologie srdce, převodní systém srdeční, cévní zásobení srdce, elektrokardiografii a v neposlední řadě tachyarytmie a bradyarytmie a následně jejich charakteristika, projevy, závažnosti, druhy a následná léčba, popřípadě komplikace. Praktická část spočívá ve zhodnocení znalostí defibrilovatelných a nedefibrilovatelných rytmů Studentů 3. ročníku oboru Zdravotnické záchranářství Lékařské fakulty Ostravské univerzity, posouzení správnosti indikace podání defibrilačního výboje a zhodnocení znalostí studentů týkajících se defibrilačních strategií. Studentům byl rozdán test týkající se defibrilovatelných rytmů a jejich léčby v přednemocniční neodkladné péči a dále měli možnost vyzkoušet si práci v simulaci, která spočívala v indikaci defibrilačního výboje.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on defibrillatable and nondefibrillatable rhythms in pre-hospital emergency care. The theoretical part briefly describes the anatomy and physiology of the heart, the cardiac conduction system, the vascular supply to the heart, electrocardiography and last but not least tachyarrhythmias and bradyarrhythmias, followed by their characteristics, manifestations, severity, types and subsequent treatment and,if necessary, complications. The practical part consists in the evaluation of the knowledge of defibrillatable and nondefibrillatable rhythms by the students of the 3rd yearof the Medical Rescue Department of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava, the assessment of the correctness of the indication for the administration of defibrillation and the evaluation of the students' knowledge concerning defibrillation strategies. The students were given a test on defibrillation rhythms and their treatment in pre-hospital emergency care and had the opportunity to try their hand at the simulation, which consisted in the indication of defibrillation.
