Intermittent and continuous renal replacement therapy from the perspective of a nurse

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na znalosti sester poskytujících intenzivní péči o intermitentních a kontinuálních eliminačních metodách. V teoretické části je stručně charakterizováno renální selhání a následně se témata týkají již přímo mimotělních eliminačních metod. Dochází k seznámení se se základními historickými mezníky, pojmy a indikacemi. V další části jsou již přímo charakterizovány jednotlivé eliminační metody spolu s jejich technickými aspekty. Prostor je věnován antikoagulační léčbě, cévním přístupům a komplikacím, které mohou při mimotělních eliminačních metodách vzniknout. Poslední část je věnovaná úloze sestry a to potřebnému vzdělání, přípravě pacienta i přístroje, péči o cévní přístup, monitoraci a v neposlední řadě ukončení eliminační procedury. Empirická část je zaměřena na analýzu výsledků dotazníkového šetření realizovaného na odděleních poskytujících intenzivní péči, především pak na znalosti sester o intermitentních a kontinuálních eliminačních metodách.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the knowledge of nurses providing intensive care for intermittent and continuous renal replacement therapy. The theoretical part describes renal failure and subsequently topics relate directly extracorporeal renal replacement therapy. There is a familiarity with basic historical milestones, concepts and indications. The other parts are directly characterize the individual elimination methods, along with their technical aspects. Space is given anticoagulant therapy, vascular access and complications that may in extracorporeal renal replacement therapy arise. The last section is devoted to the role of nurses and the necessary education, patient and instrument preparation, care of vascular access, monitoring and finally end elimination procedure. The empirical part focuses on the analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey conducted in the wards providing intensive care, especially on the nurses' knowledge of intermittent and continuous renal replacement therapy.
