The occurrence of ellipted themes in hyperthematic strings in English conversation and fiction
Abstract:
V práci se šetří, jakým způsobem je nakládáno s elidovanými tématy v příslušné literatuře o funkční větné perspektivě (aktuálním členění), a to zvláště v důležitých studiích Jana Firbase a Aleše Svobody. Následně se v ní pak zkoumá jejich výskyt v krátkých úryvcích anglické konverzace a beletrie.
Abstract:
The thesis provides a survey of the treatment of ellipted themes in relevant literature on functional sentence perspective, especially in major studies by Jan Firbas and Aleš Svoboda, and examines their occurrence in short samples of English conversation and fiction texts.
