The Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in promoting Czech economic interests abroad

Abstract:

Cílem předkládané bakalářské práce je rámcově zhodnotit vývoj spolupráce Ministerstva zahraničních věcí (MZV) a Ministerstva průmyslu a obchodu (MPO) při prosazování českých ekonomických zájmů v zahraničí. Z hlediska postupu je práce rozdělena do tří částí. První část představuje obecný úvod do problematiky české ekonomické diplomacie. Druhá část se věnuje samotné spolupráci MZV a MPO, jež je analyzována především na pozadí problémů, se kterými se oba resorty v jejím rámci potýkají. Závěrečná část se zaměřuje na formulaci základních tendencí, které se ve vztazích obou resortů objevují a které zejména v současné době zásadně ovlivňují podobu jejich vzájemné spolupráce.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to generally assess the development of the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) in promoting Czech economic interests abroad. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part represents a general introduction to the Czech economic diplomacy. The second part concentrates on the cooperation of the MFA and the MIT and is analyzed mainly on the background of the problems which the two departments have to deal with. The final part focuses on the formulation of the basic trends which appear in the mutual relations between the two ministries and which particularly at this time significantly influence the quality of their cooperation.
