Předkládaná diplomová práce obsahuje kompletní přehled života a díla ukrajinského spisovatele Ulase Samčuka a analýzu jeho nejznámějšího románu Marija. Při vlastní analýze románu byl kladen důraz na jeho žánrovou specifikaci, stylové zařazení, charakteristiku postav a vypravěče. Abstract:
The main goal of the master thesis is to introduce chosen chapters from our Czech translation of Samchuk´s novel Maria. The master thesis also speaks about the writer, his life and doing. However, the major focus is assigned to the mentioned novel and further to different methods of translation we used when working, completed by parts from our translation.
