The Processes of social differentiation in elementary schooling system

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem práce je výzkum procesů sociální diferenciace v základním školství, který vychází z teorie Pierra Bourdieuho tzv. Maxwellova démona. Práce rozebírá jak právní úpravy vzdělávání v ČR, především pak definici kategorie sociálního znevýhodnění. Tak následně konkrétní projevy těchto legislativních úprav v praxi, pomocí případové studie Základní školy a Mateřské školy Janov v městě Litvínov. Navíc práce zohledňuje vztah mezi lokalitou Janov a výše zmíněnou vzdělávací institucí.

Abstract:

The main objective of this report is to describe the processes of social differentiation within the running of primary school using the theory of Pierre Bourdieu´s Maxwell´s demon and the actual legislature of the Czech republic. For the processes of social differentiation are mainly the result of laws governing the process of education, as stipulated in the Schools Act. Particularly this report is focusing on using the definition of social disadvantaged children. Furthermore, this report is describing the relationship between the processes of social differentiation within the running of primary school and the processes of social differentiation within the running of housing estate Janov.
