Cloud Business Intelligence in the Czech Republic

Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou Business Intelligence v prostředí Cloud Computingu a vnímání aspektů implementace tohoto propojení českými firmami. V první části se čtenář seznámí s pojmy Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing a jejich kombinací, včetně popisu komponent, přínosů a rizik. Mimo jiné také popisuje obecný přechod Business Intelligence do Cloudu. Další část práce se věnuje aspektům implementace Cloud BI. V této části je prováděn kvalitativní výzkum ve spolupráci se společností OR-NEXT. Na základě interview a jejich sumarizaci je navržena Sada doporučení, která uvádí, na co si při poskytování Cloud BI dát pozor, co firmy upřednostňují a čeho s obávají. Sada doporučení je určena pro vedoucí pracovníky firem, které by měly v budoucnu zájem zařadit do svého portfolia Cloud BI a nabízet tuto službu českým firmám.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis discusses the subject of the Business Intelligence in growing Cloud Computing environment and focuses on the implementation aspects of this connection by the firms on the Czech market. First part gives the definition and theoretical basis of the Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing and their combinations and further all the components, benefits and risk are described. This part also covers the general transition of the Business Intelligence into the Cloud solutions. Second part centers on the aspects of the Cloud BI implementation. A qualitative research follows in this part, which was possible due to the cooperation with OR-NEXT company. Based on the interview and their summary, a list of recommendations was proposed. These recommendations cover the threats of the Cloud BI implementations, what are the preferences of the companies on the Czech market and what are they afraid of. These precautions are meant for the employees of the top management and in leading position within the firm, who are interested in including Cloud BI in their service portfolios and to offer this service as a new product to the Czech companies in the future.
