The Position of a Selected Brewery in the Czech Market

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the role of a selected brewery in the Czech market. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of the beer market and shows its current position in the Czech Republic and in the world. Then we define the factors that affect the beer market. The contents of the other chapters are historical facts about beer, defining the concept and definition of business as a brewery company specifics. We are also engaged in financial analysis of theoretical and concrete facts that are important to determine the financial health of the company in general. In the third chapter we perform the actual analysis of the selected company. Contents of the fourth chapter is the evaluation of the analysis and presentation of proposals for improving the current position of the company on the Czech market.

Abstract:

V diplomovej práci sa zaoberáme postavením vybraného pivovaru na českom trhu. Práca je rozdelená na štyri kapitoly. V prvej kapitole vymedzujeme pojem trh piva a uvádzame aktuálnu situáciu na trhu piva vo svete a v Českej republike. Následne definujeme faktory, ktoré ovplyvňujú trh s pivom. Obsahom druhej kapitoly sú historické fakty týkajúce sa piva, definovanie pojmu podnik a vymedzenie špecifík pivovaru ako podniku. Ďalej sa zaoberáme finančnou analýzou v teoretickej rovine a konkrétnymi skutočnosťami, ktoré sú dôležité pre určenie finančného zdravia podniku vo všeobecnosti. V tretej kapitole vykonávame samotnú analýzu vybraného podniku. Náplňou štvrtej kapitoly je vyhodnotenie vykonanej analýzy a prezentovanie návrhov na zlepšenie súčasnej pozície daného podniku na českom trhu.
