Verification of efficiency of the respiratory training in finswimmers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na ověření efektivity respiračního tréninku u plavců s ploutvemi formou experimentu, který proběhl na přelomu let 2013 a 2014 v Klubu sportovních potápěčů Olomouc. U vybrané skupiny mladých plavců s ploutvemi (n = 28; věk = 12,25 ? 2,6 let; hmotnost = 49,66 ? 12,2 kg; výška = 157,36 ? 12,31 cm) proběhlo na počátku experimentu spirometrické vyšetření a měření sportovního výkonu ve třech disciplínách plavání s ploutvemi, 50 PP, 200 PP a RP max. Skupina plavců byla následně náhodně rozdělena na experimentální a kontrolní skupinu. Experiment dokončilo 20 plavců s ploutvemi. Experimentální skupina (n=12; věk = 12,57 ? 3,18 let; hmotnost = 47,36 ? 10,29 kg; výška = 158 ? 10,56 cm) během jednoho měsíce mimo běžných plaveckých tréninků absolvovala také trénink dýchacích svalů s pomůckami Threshold? PEP a IMT. Kontrolní skupina (n=8; věk =11,93 ? 1,98 let; hmotnost = 51,96 ? 13,84 kg; výška = 156,71 ? 14,23 cm) pokračovala v běžném tréninkovém režimu. Po měsíci tréninku dýchacích svalů opět proběhlo spirometrické vyšetření a měření sportovního výkonu plaveckých disciplín u obou skupin. V druhém měsíci také kontrolní skupina používala dechové trenažéry, zatímco se experimentální skupina účastnila pouze plaveckých tréninků. Na konci druhého měsíce proběhlo závěrečné spirometrické vyšetření a měření sportovního výkonu ve zvolených disciplínách u obou skupin. Výsledky experimentu prokázaly zlepšení sledovaných parametrů spirometrického vyšetření u obou skupin. Síla nádechových svalů se zlepšila v průměru o 24,9% a síla výdechových svalů o 15,3%. Signifikantní zlepšení u plaveckých disciplín bezprostředně po ukončení tréninku dýchacích svalů bylo zaznamenáno pouze u dvou ze tří sledovaných disciplín. V disciplíně RP max se závodníci zlepšili o 4,8 metry a v disciplíně 50 PP o 0,4 sekundy. Přetrvávající efekt měsíc po skončení intervence pomocí dechových trenažérů u experimentální skupiny byl zaznamenán ve sledovaných ventilačních parametrech a u disciplíny plavání s ploutvemi RP max.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on verification of efficiency of the respiratory training in the form of experiment in finswimmers, the experiment took place at the turn of 2013 and 2014 in the club KSP Olomouc. At the beginning of the experiment, the baseline spirometry and measurement of the sport performance in three disciplines of finswimming was performed within the selected group of finswimmers (n = 28; age = 12.25 ? 2.6 years; weight = 49.66 ? 12.2 kg; height = 157.36 ? 12.31 cm). Then the group of finswimmers was randomly divided into experimental group and the sham group. The experiment was finished by 20 finswimmers. During one month the experimental group (n=12; age = 12.57 ? 3.18 years; weight = 47.36 ? 10.29 kg; height = 158 ? 10.56 cm), except the regular swimming training performed respiratory training with respiratory aids Threshold? PEP and IMT. The sham group (n=8; age =11.93 ? 1.98 years; weight = 51.96 ? 13.84 kg; height = 156.71 ? 14.23 cm) continued in regular training. After one month of respiratory training, spirometry and measurement of the sport performance in finswimming disciplines was performed in both groups. In the second month also the sham group was using respiratory simulators, while the experimental group participated only in regular finswimming training. One month later the final spirometry and the measurement of sport performance was performed within both groups. The results of experiment showed improvement of monitored parameters in spirometry in both groups after one month of using respiratory simulators. The strength of inspiratory muscles improved by 24.9% in average and the strength of expiratory muscles improved by 15.3% in average. Significant improvement in finswimming disciplines were observed in two disciplines of three monitored. Finswimmers improved their performance by 4.8m in the apnea max discipline. In the discipline 50SF the finswimmers improved by 0.4s. Long-term effect, a month after the intervention using respiratory simulators in the experimental group was observed in the monitored respiratory parameters and in one finswimming discipline.
