Important women in the early history of Islam

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se pojednává o třech významných ženách rané historie islámu. O Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah az-Zahra a Aisha bint Abu Bakr. V práci je zmapován jejich život a důležité věci, které pro islám udělaly a obětovaly. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jak jsou významné ženy raného islámu zobrazovány v odborných pracích zabývajících se historií islámu a jak je jejich role v dějinách chápána dnešními muslimy. A konkrétní cíl bylo sestavení jejich detailních životopisů a posouzení, zda jsou považovány za důležité osoby, které pomohly vzniku a udržení islámu. V první kapitole je popsána první manželka Proroka Muhammada Khadijah bint Khuwaylid. Která se stala první muslimkou a v těžkých chvílích, kdy se Proroka všichni odvraceli, ona byla jeho největší oporou. Druhá kapitola je Fatimah az-Zahra, která byla dcerou Proroka Muhammada jeho první manželky Khadijah bint Khuwalid. Třetí kapitola se zabývá Aisha bint Abu Bakr, která byla třetí Prorokovo manželkou a jedinou pannou, kterou si kdy vzal. Aisha patřila mezi pamětnice Koránu a díky ní se dochovalo něco přes 2000 hadithů, které jsou obsaženy v Sunně. V závěru této práce je menší výzkum, v kterém jsem se dotazovala několika muslimů jak vnímají tyto významné ženy.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is focused on three significant women of the early historical period of Islam, namely Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatima az-Zahra and bint Abu Bakr. This thesis documents their lives, crucial contributions and sacrifices they made to Islam. I have decided to ascertain the characterisations of the significant women living in the early Islam in the scholarly literature on the history of Islam and how their personalities are being understood by today's Muslims. The aims of this thesis are to compile their detailed biographies and to provide appraisals whether or not they are being considered as significant persons who helped to the genesis of Islam and its maintenance in history. The first chapter is dedicated to the first wife of Prophet Muhammad, Khalid bint Khuwalid, who became the first Muslim woman. She was Prophet's biggest support in the difficult times when everyone had turned away from him. The second chapter discusses Fatimah az-Zahra, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad and his first wife Khalid bint Khuwalid. The third chapter is concerned with the personality of Aisha bint Abu Bakr, the third wife of Prophet and the one and only virgin, who he got married with. Aisha represented a scholar of Islam, thanks to her over 2 thousand hadiths still exist, which are incorporated in Sunna. Finally, I have provided a research consisting of a few opinions of Muslims on how they perceive these significant women.
