Abstract:

Bakalářská práce: Britové, mahdistické povstání v Súdánu a Fašodská krize, se zabývá situací v Súdánu před vypuknutím povstání. Dále se práce zaměřuje již na samotné Mahdího povstání i Mahdismus jako náboženské hnutí a anglicko-súdánskou válku až do zániku Mahdího říše r.1899.Následně se věnuje britsko-francouzskému sporu o oblast horního Nilu, jenž vyvrcholil ve Fašodskou krizi. Cíl práce je posouzení příčin rozpoutání povstání a dopadu událostí během Fašodské krize na další vývoj.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis: The British, the Mahdist uprising in Sudan and the Fashoda crisis, deal with the situation in Sudan before the beginning of the uprising. After that, the work focuse on the Mahdi uprising itself and Mahdism as a religious sect and the Anglo-Sudanese war until the end of the Mahdi Empire in 1899. Subsequently, it deals with the British-French conflict over the Upper Nile region, which come to the Fashoda crisis. The aim of this work is to assess the causes of the beginning of the uprising and the impact of events during the Fashoda crisis on further development.
