Women's issues in teaching social science subjects

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o současných genderových tématech, která se prolínají do ţivota kaţdého z nás. V první kapitole je seznámení se základními pojmy, jako jsou gender, genderové stereotypy, genderové role a další. V druhé podkapitole je vysvětlen esencialismus a konstruktivismus a jejich pohled na začlenění jedince do společnosti. Součástí kapitoly je pojem feminismus, jeho vývoj a typy. První kapitola je zakončena řečí a jazykem. Zabývá se tím, jakým způsobem se genderové stereotypy odráţejí v jazyce a řeči mluvené i psané. Kapitola druhá se zabývá školním kurikulem. To zahrnuje jak neformální část, která se dotýká poměru muţů a ţen ve školství, tak i část formální, která se zaměřuje na ţenská témata ve školním prostředí. Zabývá se nerovnoměrným zastoupením ţen ve společenskovědních předmětech, které se odráţí na mnoţství informací a ilustrací v učebnicích. Poslední část bakalářské práce rozebírá provedenou výzkumnou sondu a jeho výsledky, kde bylo zjišťováno, jakými znalostmi disponují ţáci a ţákyně na základních školách v 9. třídách a na gymnáziích ve kvartách, které odpovídají 9. třídě ZŠ.

Abstract:

This work deals with contemporary issues of gender, which are intertwined in the life of each one of us. The first chapter is the introduction of basic concepts such as gender, gender stereotypes, gender roles and more. In the second subsection explains essentialism and constructivism and their view of inclusion in society. The chapter is the notion of feminism, its development and types. The first chapter ends with speech and language. It looks at how gender stereotypes are reflected in speech and language, both spoken and written. The second chapter deals with the school curriculum. This includes both informal part that touches the proportion of men and women in education, as well as a formal part, which focuses on women's issues in the school environment. It deals with the unequal representation of women in social subjects, which reflects the amount of information and illustrations in textbooks. The last part of the thesis discusses the research carried out by the probe and its results, where it was observed that such knowledge available to boys and girls in primary schools in the 9th classrooms and gymnasiums in fourths, which correspond to the 9th grade school.
