Working conditions for the performance of social work in municipalities

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce jsou pracovní podmínky sociálních pracovníků a pracovnic. Cílem diplomové práce je odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku, která zní: Jaké jsou pracovní podmínky sociálních pracovníků ve vybrané obci? Cílem teoretické části práce bylo popsat základní pojmy, koncepty a teoretická východiska výzkumu, relevantní k tématu diplomové práce. Výzkumná část navazuje na teoretické poznatky. Prostřednictvím případové studie se zaměříme zejména na technické, materiální, organizační, legislativní a personální podmínky, v nichž sociální pracovníci vybrané obce působí a dilematické situace, do kterých se při výkonů své profese dostávají. Výzkumné šetření v diplomové práci je provedeno metodou kvalitativního výzkumu. Jde o polostrukturované rozhovory a ty byly uskutečněny se sociálními pracovníky a pracovnicemi ve vybrané obci. Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 9 informantů, kteří jsou zařazení do městského úřadu na odboru sociálních věcí. Výpovědi sociálních pracovníků a pracovnic byly rozděleny do kategorií podle svého obsahu pro lepší přehlednost.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis are the working conditions of social workers. The aim of the diploma thesis is to answer the main research question, which is: What are the working conditions of the social workers in a selected municipality? The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the basic concepts and theoretical background of research, relevant to the topic of the thesis. The research part builds on theoretical knowledge. Through the case study, we are focusing mainly on the technical, material, organizational, legislative and personnel conditions in which social workers of the selected municipality operate and the dilemmatic situations in which they find themselves in the performance of their profession. The research in the diploma thesis is performed by the method of qualitative research. These semi-structured interviews were conducted with the social workers in the selected municipality. The research sample works with 9 informants who are situated in the municipal office at the Department of the Social Affairs. The responses of the social workers were divided into categories according to their content for better clarity.
