Cross-Border Payments

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku přeshraničního platebního styku, což je problematika poměrně nová a je potřeba se s ní seznámit. V úvodní kapitole se soustředím na platební styk jako takový, abych shrnula základní charakteristiku, členění či právní normy, o které se platební styk opírá. Dále se pokouším o zmapování dlouholetých snah evropských států přiblížit se k měnové unii a o seznámení s nejmladším projektem SEPA. Ve své práci jsem porovnala poplatkovou politiku v mezinárodním měřítku. Další kapitola pojednává o zahraničním platebním styku, jako nutném zdroji pro porovnání s přeshraničním platebním stykem. V této části uvádím i společné znaky obou, a to druhy instrumentů a soudní řešení sporů. Poté následuje kapitola věnující se pouze přeshraničnímu platebnímu styku, jeho vymezení, provádění a vytýčení specifik odlišujících ho od zahraničního platebního styku. Závěr práce věnuji platebním systémům, které mohou používat členové Evropské unie.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of cross-border payments, which is a relatively new issue and users still need to get familiar with it. The introductory chapter focuses on payments, as such. I summarized the main features, segmentation and legal rules on which the payment is based. I am also trying to map the long-standing efforts of the European nations to approach the monetary union and get acquainted with the youngest project of the SEPA. In this context, I wrote out a work that compares the fee policy on the basis of an international scale. The next chapter deals with foreign payments, as a necessary resource for comparison with cross-border payments. In this section I present the common features of both types of instruments and judicial settlement of disputes. This is followed by a chapter dedicated to the only cross-border payment transactions, its definition, implementation and identification of the specifics of distinguishing it from the foreign payments. The paper incloses with the topic of payment systems that can be used by the members of the European Union.
