Křížové struktury patří mezi sekundární struktury DNA. Často se vyskytují v promotorech genů, kde s proteiny regulují nejrůznější buněčné procesy. Existuje několik rodin proteinů, které se vážou spíše na strukturu DNA než na specifické cílové sekvence.
