Evolution of value added tax in EU states

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza vývoje daně z přidané hodnoty ve vybraných státech, které přistoupily do Evropské unie vroce 2004 a zhodnocení schopnosti těchto států se přizpůsobit legislativě Evropské unie v oblasti daně z přidané hodnoty. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem vývoje harmonizačního procesu všeobecné daně ze spotřeby v Evropské unii a s tím spojený vývoj jednotlivých směrnic Rady Evropské unie. V praktické části je popsán vývoj sazeb daně z přidané hodnoty ve vybraných zemích, zhodnocení jejich přizpůsobení předpisům Evropské unie pomocí analýzy přidělených výjimek, dále je zkoumán vliv aproximace sazeb pomocí metody měření variability a také je provedena komparace vývoje průměrných sazeb a výnosů daně z přidané hodnoty v zemích přistupujících do Evropské unie v roce 2004 a v zemích, které byly členy Evropské unie již před rokem 2004.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the evolution of value added tax in selected countries, which joined European union in 2004 and the comparison of the ability of these countries to adapt to European union legislation. The theoretical part describes the development of the harmonization process, a general tax on consumption in the European union and associated development of directives of the Council of the European union. In the practical part there is the analysis of the evolution rate of value added tax in selected countries, comparison of their adaptation to the regulations of the European union by analyzing allocated exceptions. There is also the study of the impact of rate approximation using the method of variability measurement, and also the comparison of the evolution of average rate and income of value added tax in countries that joined the European union in 2004 and the countries that were members of the European union before 2004.
