Nemoc je zásah do režimu ekonomicky aktivního člověka. Dočasnou pracovní neschopnost může způsobit nemoc nebo úraz. Oblast dočasné pracovní neschopnoti je zpracována z pohledu právní úpravy zákona o nemocenském pojištění s jejími charakteristickými znaky.
