Foreign Language Learning Strategies: Self-Evaluative School Report

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zpracovává autoevaluační zprávu pro ZŠ Dolní Kounice na téma strategie učení se žáků cizímu jazyku (anglickému jazyku) – používání strategií žáky a podpora strategií ve výuce učiteli. V teoretické části uvádí do koncepce autoevaluace (ve vazbě na vyhlášku a další dokumenty), problematiky klíčové kompetence k učení (ve vazbě na RVP ZV 2007) a strategií učení (ve vazbě na Společný referenční rámec pro jazyky 2006). V praktické části jsou zpracovány výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu používání strategií žáky při učení se cizímu jazyku a podpora strategií ve výuce cizího jazyka učiteli. Výzkum byl realizován na ZŠ Dolní Kounice. Dotazník strategií učení se cizímu jazyku byl zkonstruován na základě dotazníku „Language Strategy Use Survey“, který byl vytvořen autory A. D. Cohenem, R. L. Oxfordovou a J. Chiovou (2002). Se souhlasem A. D. Cohena byl dotazník přeložen a upraven pro použití v českém prostředí. V dotazníku je použita klasifikace strategií podle Cohena a Weaverové (2006) a také podle klasifikace R. L. Oxfordové (1990). Na základě zpracování výstupních zpráv byla v diplomové práci popsána doporučení do výuky cizího jazyka.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with self-evaluative school report for grammar school Dolni Kounice, the theme: pupil’s foreign language learning strategies (English language) – using of strategies by pupils and support of use strategies in teaching by teachers. In the theoretical part presents it in the self-evaluation conception (in connection with regulation and other documents, issue of key competency for learning (in connection with RVP ZV 2007) and learning strategies (in connection with Common reference framework for languages – SERR 2006). In empirical part are adapted results of quantitative research of use of foreing language learning strategies by pupils and support of strategies in teaching by teachers. The research was realized at grammar school Dolni Kounice. The question-form about foreign language learning strategies was created based on the research „Language Strategy Use Survey“, by A. D. Cohen, R. L. Oxford a J. Chio (2002). By the approval of A. D. Cohen was the research translated and adapter to the Czech condotions. In the researches is adopted strategies classifikation by Cohen and Weaver (2006) and strategies classification according by R. L. Oxford (1990) too. On the basis of the output reports processing recommendations for foreing language teaching were described in the thesis.
