This bachelor thesis examines the myths and superstitions about pregnancy, birth and puerperium which are spread amongst women. The objective of the thesis is to collect myths believed by older generations and compare them with current ones. The thesis is divided into two parts, i.e. theoretical and practical. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou mýtov a povier o tehotenstve, pôrode a šestonedelí, ktoré sa šíria medzi ženami. Cieľom práce je zozbierať mýty, ktorým verili staršie generácie a porovnať ich s tým, čomu veria ženy dnes. Práca je rozdelená na dve časti, a to na časť teoretickú a praktickú.
