Nursing Care of a Colostomy Patient

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá ošetřovatelskou péčí o nově vytvořenou kolostomii u vybraných pacientů, kteří byli hospitalizováni na konkrétním standardním chirurgickém oddělení nemocnice okresního typu. Vzhledem k charakteru výzkumného problému byl k jeho řešení zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, použita metoda kazuistiky. Byla zdokumentována péče, ve které se u jednotlivých participantů vyskytly obtíže s postupem při ošetřování vývodu, komplikace v podobě retrakce, alergické reakce na stomickou pomůcku a psychické potíže v oblasti přijmutí nově vytvořeného střevního vývodu. Praktickým výstupem práce bylo vypracování edukačního materiálu pro pacienty s kolostomií, který je zaměřený na dietní doporučení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the nursing care of newly created colostomy in selected patients who were hospitalized in a specific standard surgical department of a district type hospital. Due to the nature of the research problem, qualitative research was chosen to solve it and the case study method was used. The care was documented, in which the individual participants experienced difficulties with the procedure of the anastomosis, complications in the form of retraction, allergic reactions to the ostomy device, and psychological difficulties in the acceptance of the newly created intestinal stomy. The practical outcome of the work was the development of educational material for colostomy patients, which is aimed at on dietary recommendations.
