Vliv řízení genderové diverzity na výkon podniku v Evropském kontextu

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je určit vztah mezi podílem žen ve vrcholovém vedení a výkonem podniku a zjistit, jak se tento podíl liší mezi jednotlivými evropskými zeměmi. Výzkum byl proveden na sedmdesáti společnostech ze sedmi různých zemí v Evropě. Zjišťoval korelace mezi podílem žen ve vrcholovém vedení a třemi různými ukazateli výkonnosti podniku a také porovnával průměrné hodnoty těchto ukazatelů výkonnosti pro horní a spodní kvartil těchto společností. Rozdílné výsledky jednotlivých zemí jsou porovnány a, na základě literatury a dotazníku, je poskytnuto vysvětlení těchto odchylek. Výsledky ukazují, že existuje pozitivní vztah mezi počtem žen ve vrcholovém vedení a poměrem P / E. Nejvíce žen ve vrcholovém vedení bylo nalezeno ve Švédsku, což je nejvíce genderově rovnoprávná země z celého vzorku.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to determine the relationship between the proportion of women in senior management and the company's performance and to find out how this proportion differs among various European countries. The research was done for seventy companies from seven different countries in Europe. It investigated correlations between the proportion of women in senior management and three different company's performance measures and also compared the average values of these performance measures of the top and the bottom quartile of the companies. The different results in the various countries are compared and explanations of these variations, based on the various literature and a survey, are provided. The results show that there is a positive relationship between the number of women in senior management and the company's P/E ratio. The most women in senior management were found in Sweden which is the most gender equal country from the countries' sample.
