Práce se zabývá vybranými změnami Lisabonské smlouvy a následně jejich dopady na fungování Evropského parlamentu. Nastíněn je kontext v rámci historie Evropská unie, vznik a vývoj Evropského parlamentu, rovněž také okolnosti vzniku Lisabonské smlouvy a změny, které zavedla.
