Enhancing Financial Literacy in the area of taxes for Upper Primary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Rozvoj finanční gramotnosti v oblasti daní na 2. stupni základní školy se skládá ze čtyř hlavních částí. První část se zabývá dokumenty týkajících se finanční gramotnosti a její definicí. Druhá část práce popisuje vývoj daní od starověkých civilizací až po současnost a jejich charakteristiku. Začátek praktické části se zaměřuje na výzkum znalostí žáků základních škol v oblasti daní a jeho zpracování. Následující kapitola obsahuje sbírku příkladů zaměřených na daně.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis Enhancing Financial Literacy in the area of taxes for Upper Primary School consists of four main parts. The first part deals with documents concerning financial literacy and its definition. The second part of the thesis describes development of taxes from the ancient civilizations to the present and characterization of taxes. The beginning of the practical part focuses on the research of knowledge of primary schools´ students in the area of taxes and data processing. It is followed by the chapter which includes collection of examples focused on taxes.
