Relations between Germany and Israel after the events of World War II.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá bilaterálními vztahy Německa a Izraele po událostech 2. světové války.Cílem této práce je mimo jiné: Objasnit a definovat popředí i pozadí NěmeckoIzraelských vztahů; Posoudit reparační proces a zhodnotit jeho postup a výsledky; a Demonstrovat vliv podmínek vzniku jednotlivých států (Něm. a Iz.), jak na jednotlivý vývoj, tak na vzájemné vztahy obou států. Pomyslnou startovní čárou pro dokazování a demonstraci zmíněných cílů bude 2. světová válka, konkrétněji její konec a proběhlé události (Holokaust, …), nebudou však opomenuty ani důležité předválečné události a skutečnosti, které by se ukázaly relevantní k této práci. Díky počáteční deskripci a pozdější analýze budeme pak schopni odpovědět na základní otázky této práce (vycházejících z hlavních cílů). Výzkumné otázky: Jsou účty minulosti mezi Izraelem a Německem dnes již urovnané? Jakými kroky a etapami si musely Německo-Izraelské vztahy projít napříč 20. stoletím? Jak holokaust a 2. světová válka ovlivnily a ovlivňují dynamiku vztahu Německa a Izraele a západních států? Abstract:

This work deals with bilateral relations between Germany and Israel after the events of World War II. The aim of this work is to, among other things: Clarify and define the foreground and background of German-Israeli relations; Assess the reparation process and evaluate its progress and results; and Demonstrate the impact of the conditions of the emergence of individual states (Germany and Israel), both on individual developments and on mutual relations. The imaginary starting line for proving and demonstrating these goals will be World War II, more specifically its end and past events (Holocaust, …), but important pre-war events and facts that would prove relevant to this work will not be overlooked as well. Thanks to the initial description and later analysis, we will then be able to answer the basic questions of this work (based on the main objectives). Research questions: Are the accounts of the past between Israel and Germany settled today? What steps and stages did German-Israeli relations have to go through the 20th century? How did the Holocaust and World War II affect and continue to affect the dynamics of the relationship between Germany and Israel and the Western states?
