Principles of interaction between the joker and audience in forum theatre performances

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci se zabývám rolí “jokera” v divadle fórum. Specifikuji roli jokera v představeních divadla fórum, které jsou součástí programů primární prevence, nebo které realizujeme na Katedře sociální pedagogiky MU jako programy primární prevence pro školy. Představuji principy interakce s publikem, způsoby jeho aktivizace a způsoby rozvíjení diskuze, které joker v průběhu preventivního programu užívá. Jmenuji konkrétní metody, techniky a nástroje využitelné v praxi. Propojuji dále jevy, které se v představení divadla fórum vyskytují s pedagogickým přístupem kritické pedagogiky, sociální pedagogiky a zkušenostního učení. Tyto přístupy uplatňuji svobodný a demokratický pohled na vzdělávání a kladou důraz na sociální změnu a osobnostní rozvoj jedince. Dále se z hlediska zkušenostního učení zaměřuji na samotný proces učení v divadle fórum. Popisuji tento proces a vytváření vhodných podmínek, které ovlivňují míru jeho naplnění. Uplatňuji principy práce se skupinovou dynamikou a doplňuji je o využití poznatků z psychologické disciplíny transakční analýzy. Cílem práce je nabídnout text založený na propojení osobní zkušenosti s teorií, který podkládám prací s primárními a sekundárními, domácími a zahraničními zdroji. V textu poskytuji uspořádání náplně role jokera a propojuji jeho činnost s výše uvedenými vzdělávacími přístupy. Přínos práce sahá za hranice divadla fórum, neboť přístupy a metody, kterým se věnuji, vnímám jako přenositelné do jakékoliv vzdělávací činnosti. Text tak může být inspirací všem vzdělavatelům napříč pedagogickým spektrem, jako jsou učitelé, lektoři, vedoucí a instruktoři.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the role of "joker" in forum theatre. I specify the role of a joker in forum theater performances, which are part of primary prevention programs for schools, or which we implement at the Department of Social Education at MU as primary prevention programs for schools. I present the principles of interaction with the audience, ways of its activation and ways of developing the discussion that the joker uses during the prevention program. I mention concrete methods, techniques and tools applicable in practice. I also link the phenomena that occur in the forum theatre performances with the pedagogical approach of critical pedagogy, social pedagogy and experiential learning. These approaches apply a free and democratic view of education and emphasize social change and personal development of the individual. Furthermore, in terms of experiential learning I focus on the process of learning in forum theatre. I describe this process and create suitable conditions that influence the degree of its fulfillment. I apply the principles of work with group dynamics and supplement them with the use of knowledge from the psychological discipline of transaction analysis. The aim of this work is to offer a text based on the interconnection of personal experience with theory, which I support by working with primary and secondary, domestic and foreign sources. In the text I provide the organization of the role of the joker and link his activities with the above mentioned educational approaches. The contribution of the work goes beyond the theater forum, because I perceive the approaches and methods that I devote as transferable to any educational activity. The text can be an inspiration for all educators across the educational spectrum, such as teachers, lecturers, supervisors and instructors.
