Living situation of the clients in the specific Shelter for youths

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Životní situace klientů vybraného Azylového domu pro mládež“ se zaměřuje na posouzení životních situací mladistvých klientů v daném zařízení. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy životní situace a sociální fungování, posouzení v sociální práci, adolescence, riziková mládež a dále je zde uvedena charakteristika vybraného Azylového domu pro mládež. Druhá část práce obsahuje metodologii výzkumu a třetí část popisuje interpretaci výsledků kvalitativního výzkumu. Cílem této práce je odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jakým způsobem posuzují pracovníci životní situace klientů ve vybraném Azylovém domě pro mládež?“ Z výzkumu vyplývá, že pracovníci se zaměřují na posouzení sociálního prostředí, ze kterého klient přichází. Posuzují rodinnou situaci, vztahy v rodině a mezi přáteli nebo vztahy s osobami, se kterými klient pobýval v předchozím zařízení. Pracovníci se dále zaměřují finanční situaci klienta, školu nebo zaměstnání a volný čas. Během posouzení u klienta analyzují prvky rizikového chování. Posouzení probíhá formou otevřeného rozhovoru. Pracovníci získávají informace o životních situacích svých klientů od samotných mladistvých, jejich rodinných příslušníků, učitelů, lékařů, psychologů, sociálních kurátorů nebo dalších osob, se kterými klient přichází do styku. Cílem posouzení je plán intervence, která odpovídá požadavkům klienta a vede ke zlepšení jeho životní situace.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis „Living situation of the clients in the specific Shelter for youths“ focuses on the assessment of living situations of young clients in the specific shelter. In the theoretical part there are explained terms like living situation, social functioning, assessment in social work, adolescence and youths at risk and there is also the description of the specific Shelter for youths. The second part contains the methodology of research and the third part describes the interpretation of results of the qualitative research. The goal of this thesis is the answer to the main exploration question: „How do the workers assess the living situations of the clients in the specific Shelter for youths?“ According to the research the workers focus the assessment on the social environment of the clients. They assess their family situation, relationships in the family, relationships between friends or other people who have been in touch with the client in previous institution. The workers also focus on the financial situation of the client, his (her) school or employment and hobbies. During the assessment they analyse elements of the high-risk behaviour. The assessment is made by opened interview. The workers get information from the youths, their family members, teachers, doctors, psychologists, social curators and other people who have been in touch with the clients. The goal of the assessment is a plan of the intervention which arises from client´s requirements and leads to improvement of his (her) living situation.
