Perception of social work from the perspective of homeless people

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku bezdomovectví, zvláště na vnímání sociální práce pohledem osob bez přístřeší. Cílem teoretické části je konceptualizovat samotný pojem bezdomovectví, včetně jeho dedikace od historie až po současnost. Část práce se orientuje na sociální práci, role sociálního pracovníka včetně role terénního sociálního pracovníka. Přibližuje využití relativně novějších metod sociální práce, mezi něž řadíme participaci, síťování, case management. Následně popisuje služby zabývající se problematikou bezdomovectví a čtvrtý oddíl neopomíjí prevenci a řešení problematiky bezdomovectví. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit a popsat (analyzovat) jak osoby bez přístřeší vnímají sociální práci. Jak percipují sociálního pracovníka, jejich vztah k sociálním pracovníkům. Kterak pohlíží na slovo pomoc a co pro ně znamená. Metodickým postupem výzkumné části práce bylo využití kvalitativního výzkumu, metoda dotazování a technika polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Jednalo se o přístup případové studie, konkrétně o zkoumání událostí, rolí a vztahů. Sběr primárních dat byl zaměřen na cílovou skupinu a to - osoby žijící venku - bez přístřeší v oblasti Ostrava-Jih, alespoň dvě zimy a spolupracující se sociálními pracovníky nejen obce.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on homelessness, especially a perception of social work from the perspective of homeless people. The aim of the theoretical part is to conceptualize the very concept of homelessness, including its dedication from history to the present. A part of this thesis focuses on social work, the role of a social worker including the role of a field social worker. It introduces the use of relatively newer methods of social work such as participation, networking, case management. It subsequently describes services dealing with homelessness and the fourth section does not ignore the prevention and tackling of homelessness. The aim of the research is to find and describe (analyze) how homeless people perceive social work. As they perceive the social worker and their relationship to social workers. How they look at the word help and what it means to them. The methodological procedure of the research part of the work was the use of qualitative research, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview. It was a case study approach, namely, exploring events, roles and relationships. The primary data collection was focused on one target group. These are people living outside - the people without shelter in the Ostrava-South area, at least two winters and cooperating with social workers not only the municipality.
