ADHD as a significant and predisposing factor of substance abuse-a review study

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem ADHD jako významného predispozičního faktoru pro vznik abúzu návykových látek. Teoretická část se zabývá rámcovou identifikací ADHD, na což navazuje popis důvodů pro možnost vzniku abúzu. Je zde také objasněna terminologie pojmů, jako je závislost, abúzus, návyková látka. Cílem praktické části práce je vytvořit přehled výzkumů podle předem stanovených kritérií zkoumajících ADHD jako predispoziční faktor abúzu návykových látek, publikovaných v letech 2011-2021, v obdobném sociokulturním teritoriu, tedy v České republice a zemích střední a západní Evropy, přičemž pro vyhledání odborných článků byla využita databáze Scopus. Analýza je provedena jako mapující přehled, její obsah byl tříděn a následně prezentován v podobě přehledové tabulky. Obsahem analýzy jsou výsledky jednotlivých studií.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the theme of ADHD as a significant predisposing factor for the emergence of addictive substances abuse. In the theoretical part the general definition of ADHD is stated, which is followed by description of the reasons for the possibility of abuse emergence. Other terms, such as addiction, abuse, addictive substance, are explained as well. The aim of the practical part is to create an overview of research according to predetermined criteria investigating ADHD as a a significant predisposing factor for the emergence of addictive substances abuse, published in 2011 - 2021, in a similar socio-cultural territory, i. e. in the Czech Republic and in the countries of central and western Europe. Database Scopus was used for searching professional articles. The analysis was carried out as a mapping overview. Its content was sorted and then presented in the form of an overview table. The content of the analysis is created by the results of individual studies.
