This work presents a critic anotated translation of the Principes du clavecin (Principles of the harpsichord), the first manual to play harpsichord, published by Christophe Ballard in 1702. Předmětem práce je překlad a analýza "Principes du clavecin", jejichž autorem je Monsieur de Saint-Lambert. Toto dílo vydané poprvé v Paříži roku 1702 patří k nejvýznamnějším pramenům pro studium provozovací praxe hudby 17. a 18. století.
