The use of Arduino single-board computers in high school teaching of computer science

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na tvorbu metodických materiálů pro střední odborné školy bez technického zaměření k zabezpečení výuky programování jednočipových mikropočítačů založených na platformě Arduino. Teoretická část práce vymezuje pedagogické a didaktické principy výuky ICT a prezentuje využití jednodeskových mikropočítačů postavených na platformě Arduino, a to v kontextu výuky informatiky na úrovni vyššího sekundárního vzdělávání. Praktická část práce zahrnuje tvorbu konkrétních metodických materiálů určených k výuce programování jednočipových mikropočítačů založených na platformě Arduino s využitím výukového a vývojového Tinylab Arduino kitu obsahujícího potřebné základní a rozšiřující senzory, moduly a komponenty.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the creation of methodical materials for secondary technical schools without a technical focus to ensure the programming teaching of single-chip microcomputers based on the Arduino platform. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the pedagogical and educational principles of ICT teaching and presents the usage of single-board microcomputers based on the Arduino platform in the context of computer science teaching at the upper secondary level. The practical part of the thesis includes the creation of specific methodological materials for programming teaching of single-chip microcomputers focused on the Arduino platform using the Tinylab Arduino kit which contains the necessary basic and extending sensors, modules and components.
