The SMS's in the Czech language

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci na základě analýzy 800 krátkých textových zpráv, jejichž autory byli mladí lidé ve věku 15?19 a 20?24 let, jsem se pokusila ukázat, že i krátké textové zprávy mohou být vhodným pramenem pro různé jazykovědné účely. V první části této práce jsem se snažila zachytit nejčastější jevy, které se v této korespondenci vyskytují, týká se to především pravopisných chyb, morfologických jevů, slovní zásoby, ale i také grafické stránky, především emotikonů. Na závěr první části jsem se krátce zmínila o rozdílech mezi mužskou a ženskou korespondencí (sesbírané SMS se skládaly ze 400 mužských a 400 ženských sdělení). V druhé části jsem se pokusila vystihnout rozdíly nalezené při srovnávání sdělení, které jsem sesbírala od pisatelů ve věku od 20?24 let (z roku 2009?2010) s SMS, které poskytla Zdeňka Hladká v knize Čeština v současné soukromé korespondenci. Dopisy, e-maily, SMS (pisatelé byli ve věku 20?29 let, SMS pocházejí z let 2002?2003).

Abstract:

In my thesis I analysed 800 short text messages written by young people in the age of 15 to 19 years of age and 20 to 24 years of age. I attempted to demonstrate that even text messages can serve as a suitable source for various linguistic purposes. In the first part of my thesis I tried to depict the most common phenomena which occur in this correspondence. This concerns primarily misspellings, morphological phenomena, lexis, and also the graphic form ? especially emoticons. At the end of the first part of the thesis I mentioned briefly the differences between correspondence written by women and by men (collected text messages consisted of 400 messages by men and of 400 by women). The aim of the second part of my thesis was to formulate the differences which I found during the comparison of the messages which I collected from young people in the range of 20 to 24 years of age (messages from the years 2009 and 2010), and of the messages published in Zdenka Hladka?s book (the age of the authors of these messages was between 20 and 29 and the messages were written in the years 2002 and 2003).
