British banking system and its role in the world

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na rozdílnost dvou bankovních systémů. Jedná se o bankovní systém v České republice a Velké Británii. Cílem práce je především popis celé bankovní soustavy v Británii, její historický i současný vývoj. Dále se pokouším vysvětlit hlavní rozdíly mezi naší centrální bankou a centrální bankou ve Velké Británii, způsob regulace v obou zemích a také popsat bankovní segmentaci. Teoreticko-metodická část se věnuje teoretickému vymezení bankovního systému a vývoji bankovního systému ve Velké Británii. Také se zabývá vývojem centrální banky Velké Británie. Aplikační část již popisuje strukturu bankovních systémů obou zemí a jejich regulaci. Také je zde uveden konkrétní příklad finanční společnosti, která působí v obou zemích.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on differences between the banking system of Britain and of the Czech republic. The goal of this thesis is to especially describe the British bank scheme and it's historical system development. Further, I am trying to explain the main differences between the central bank of the Czech republic and Great Britain; method of regulation in these countries and also describe bank segmentation. The theoretical-methodical part attends to theoretical definition of the bank system and development of British bank system. As well it is concerned with development of British central bank. Application part describes architecture and regulation of bank systems of both countries. There is also a stated, concrete example of a financial company involved in both countries.
