Destination Management as a Regional Tourism Policy Instrument

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zbývá problematikou organizace a řízení cestovní ruchu v České republice. Na úvod se řeší vazby cestovního ruchu s veřejnou ekonomií, které následně vyúsťují do politiky cestovního ruchu. Práce vychází z premisy, že cestovní ruch je klíčovým faktorem rozvoje regionů, a proto se zaměřuje na institucionální nástroj regionální politiky cestovního ruchu, který je schopen zajistit efektivní rozvoj cestovního ruchu v regionu. Stěžejní část práce se věnuje teoretickým východiskům destinačního managementu a jeho následné aplikaci v praxi. Analyzovány jsou zahraniční zkušenosti se spoluprácí v cestovním ruchu coby podstatou destinačního managementu, které jsou použity jako výchozí zdroje komparace spolupráce v cestovním ruchu (destinačního managementu) v podmínkách České republiky. Závěrečná část práce naznačuje model financování a organizace cestovního ruchu v České republice v pojetí zákona o cestovním ruchu.

Abstract:

The doctoral thesis deals with the issue of organization and management in tourism in the Czech Republic. Preliminary the work disuses the relationship between tourism and public economy that leads to tourism policy. Following the premise that tourism is a key factor of region development the thesis is focused on the institutional instrument of the regional tourism policy which is able to fulfil effective tourism development in a region. The main part of the work devotes to the theoretical background of destination management and its application into practices. The foreign experience of cooperation in tourism as a core of destination management is analysed to be used for the comparison of the cooperation in tourism in Czech conditions. The final part of the thesis presents the model of financing and organizing tourism in the Czech Republic in the form of tourism law.
