Control of systems with multiple binary inputs and one output

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou řízení systémů s více binárními vstupy a jedním výstupem, kde je pro přepínání binárních vstupů použitý algoritmus řízení s klouzavým režimem. V práci jsou ukázány nedostatky návrhu řízení s využitím obecné teorie řízení s klouzavým režimem pro tento typ systému, především z hlediska efektivního využívání a synchronizace jednotlivých vstupů. Práce si klade za cíl tyto nedostatky odstranit modifikováním návrhu řízení s klouzavým režimem tak, aby bylo možné některé vstupy v průběhu řízení fixovat na konstantní hodnotu. V první části práce je představena třída systémů obsahujících nespojitost ve stavovém prostoru. Detailněji je uvedeno řízení s relé ve zpětné vazbě a jeho specifický případ - klouzavý režim. Pro současnou teorii řízení s klouzavým režimem jsou zde představeny základní definice a věty, které musí takové řízení splňovat. Na příkladech je demonstrováno možné chování takto řízených systémů. V další části práce je formulován speciální tvar zákona řízení s klouzavým režimem, který přepíná všechny vstupy pomocí skalární přepínací proměnné. Pro navržený zákon řízení jsou ověřeny všechny definice a věty uvedené v první části práce. Navrženým postupem je stanoven nikoliv jeden univerzální zákon řízení, ale celá množina dvoustavových regulátorů, kde některé dvoustavové regulátory umožňují fixování jednoho nebo více vstupů na konstantní hodnotu a jiné spínají všechny vstupy zároveň. Součástí navrženého algoritmu je výběr posloupnosti dvoustavových regulátorů v průběhu řízení, která při zachování kvality řízení minimalizuje spínání nepotřebných vstupů. Funkce navrženého algoritmu řízení je demonstrována na modelu řízení teploty vody v bojleru, který obsahuje tři topná tělesa o různém výkonu a jedno čidlo teploty.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the control of multi-input single-output systems, where the inputs are binary and are switched using sliding mode based algorithm. There are demonstrated problems in such control design, mainly e ffective usage and synchronization of the inputs. The main goal of the thesis is to solve these problems via modi cation of the sliding mode control design, where one or more inputs can be fi xed over time during the control. The first part of the thesis introduces the class of systems with discontinuity called variable structure systems. In particular, relay control and its specifi c case sliding mode control is described. The common defi nitions and theorems are presented, which system with sliding modes must ful fill. The behavior of systems with this type of discontinuous control is demonstrated on basic examples. In the next part of the thesis there is formulated special sliding mode control law, which is switching all inputs using the same scalar switching variable. All defi nitions and theorems formulated for the common sliding mode control theory are veri fied for this new control law. With this approach, there is designed a whole set of switching controllers instead of the single one. Some switching controllers from this set are fixing one or more inputs and the other ones are switching all inputs at once. Therefore, calculation of the sequence of particular used switching controllers is implemented. This sequence selects the controller minimizing switching of unnecessary inputs without impact on the quality of control. Proposed control algorithm is used for the temperature control of the water heater model containing three heating units and one thermometer.
