Hlavný cieľom diplomovej práce je analyzovať kvalitatívnu a kvantitatívnu štruktúru devízových rezerv Slovenskej republiky. Pre prehľadnosť uvádzame vymedzenie devízových rezerv z rôznych hľadísk. Bližšie sme sa zamerali na zlato, ako na významnú zložku devízových rezerv. Práca sa venuje zlatu ako zložke devízových rezerv i z historického pohľadu.
