Patient's aggressive behavior at ICU and CCU from nurse's point of view

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Agresivní chování pacienta na JIP a ARO z pohledu sestry“ je zaměřena na problematiku četnosti agrese pacienta a její nejčastější příčiny. Mapuje také znalosti NLZP (praktická sestra, všeobecná sestra, všeobecná sestra se specializací, zdravotnický záchranář), jak pečovat o agresivního pacienta, zda znají zásady komunikace, farmakologie a užívání omezovacích prostředků. Teoretická část je věnována vymezení pojmů týkajících se agrese a agresivity u pacienta, nejčastějším příčinám agresivního jednání, škálování agrese a deliria, zásadám komunikace, asertivního jednání a základní farmakologii používané při agresi pacienta. Empirická část je realizována kvantitativní metodou pomocí dotazníků, které byly rozdány v Nemocnici Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně. Analýza dat poskytuje informace o četnostech a nejčastějších příčinách agresivního jednání pacienta z pohledu sestry na daném oddělení a základních vědomostech týkajících se péče o agresivního pacienta.

Abstract:

The thesis called "Aggressive behavior of the patient in ICU and CCU from the nurse’s point of view" is focused on the issue of patient aggression frequency and the most frequent causes. It also detects knowledge of medical staff, how to take care of an aggressive patient, whether they know the principles of communication, pharmacology and the using of restraints. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of terms related to aggression and aggression of the patient, the most frequent causes of aggressive behavior, agression and delirium scaling, principles of communication, assertive behavior and basic pharmacology used in the care of aggressive patient. The empirical part is done by a quantitative method with using questionnaires which were distributed in the Tomas Bata Hospital in Zlín. Data analysis informs about the frequencies and most common causes of aggressive behavior from a nurse's perspective and the basic knowledge of aggressuve care.
