Knowledge of Czech punctuation of the elementary school pupils

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřená na českou interpunkci a znalosti žáků základních škol v této oblasti. V teoretické části se věnujeme pravopisu, jeho vývoji a rozdělení se zaměřením na interpunkci. Dále uvádíme pravidla, kterými se česká interpunkce řídí. V části praktické ověřujeme, nakolik mají tato pravidla osvojená žáci 8. a 9. tříd. Věnujeme se také pohledu učitelů českého jazyka na problematiku učiva a analýze učebnic, ve kterých jsme se zaměřili na to, jakým způsobem jsou zde žákům pravidla interpunkce předložena. V závěru práce srovnáváme výsledky, které jsme zaznamenali, s výsledky, které byly zjištěny v diplomových pracích z let 2004, 2013 a 2016, zabývajících se rovněž touto problematikou.

Abstract:

The work is focused on Czech punctuation and knowledge of elementary school pupils in this field. In the theoretical part we deal with the spelling, its development and division with the focus on punctuation. Here are the rules that the Czech punctuation is governed by. In the practical part we verify the extent to which these rules are adopted by pupils of the 8th and 9th classes. We also look at the Czech language teachers' view on the subject of curriculum and the analysis of textbooks, in which we have focused on how the rules of punctuation are presented to pupils here. At the end of the thesis we compare the results we have recorded with the results which were found in diploma theses from 2004, 2013 and 2016, which also dealt with this issue.
