Recommendations within the ERAS protocol in patients after bowel resection

Abstract:

ERAS program představuje novou koncepci péče o pacienty, kteří podstupují chirurgický operační výkon ? resekci tlustého střeva. Česká republika se zařadila na první místo ve výskytu nádorů tlustého střeva a konečníku. Ročně je diagnostikováno přibližně 8 000 nových případů. ERAS program je založen na principu minimalizace stresové odpovědi organismu na operaci, což minimalizuje katabolickou reakci a na usnadnění návratu normálních orgánových funkcí, což umožní daleko rychlejší zotavení pacienta po operačním výkonu. V prospektivní studii bude hodnocena aplikace intervencí v rámci ERAS protokolu u pacientů po resekci tlustého střeva, kteří byli hospitalizovaní ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava. Sběr dat ze zdravotnické dokumentace bude realizován u pacientů v průběhu perioperační péče, intraoperační péče a v pooperačním období během 48 hodin po operaci. Vyhodnocené výsledky této studie pak budou prezentovány a publikovány odborné veřejnosti.

Abstract:

ERAS program represents a new concept of care for patients undergoing surgical surgery - resection of the colon. Czech Republic was ranked in first place in the incidence of cancers of the colon and rectum. Per year are diagnosed approximately 8 000 new cases. ERAS program is based on the principle of minimizing the stress response of the body to the operation, which minimizes the catabolic response and to facilitate the return of normal organ functions, allowing much faster patient recovery after surgery. In a prospective study will be evaluated by intervention of the ERAS protocol in patients after resection of colon cancer who were hospitalized at the University Hospital Ostrava. The collection of data from medical records will be implemented in patients during perioperativecare, intraoperative care, and postoperative periods during the 48 hours after surgery. Evaluation of the results of this study will be presented and published experts.
