Dealing with mistakes in spoken English when teaching low level students (A2 - B1 according to CEFR)

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmonitorování korektivních metod při práce s chybou v mluveném projevu ve výuce anglického jazyka na nižší úrovni pokročilosti (A2 - B1 podle SERRJ). Práce popisuje pojetí chyby ve výuce anglického jazyka. Věnuje se možným příčinám chyb, jejich třídění a také vlivu korekce na studenty. V této práci jsou zmíněny přístupy učitele a žáka k chybě. V práci jsou zde prezentovány korektivní techniky využívané při práci s chybou v ústním projevu. Praktická část je věnována rozboru vyučovacích hodin z hlediska chyb, jejich příčiny, reakce studentů a opravných technik.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to deal with corrective methods while working with mistakes in spoken language teaching at the lower level of English (A2 - B1 according to CEFR). The thesis describes the interpretation of mistakes in the English language classes. It is devoted to the possible causes of mistakes, their classification and the influence of correction on students. In this work the teacher's and student´s approaches to mistakes are mentioned. Corrective techniques used when working with an oral speech are listed here. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of lessons in the terms of mistakes, their causes, students' reactions and correction techniques.
