OUTDOOR TRAINING – Modern Form of Company Training

Abstract:

Úkolem bakalářské práce je seznámit s novou metodou outdoorového trainingu, jako s efektivní formou firemního vzdělávání. Čtenářům by měla pomoci pochopit jeji podstatu, poukázat na výhody a úskalí, rozlišit všechny typy outdoorových kurzů. Práce zahrnuje přesnou specifikaci povinností a úkolů ze strany zadavatele, vhodný výběr realizátora včetně postupů sestavení kurzu dle konkrétních potřeb firmy. Manažerům radí, na jaké organizace, asociace a sdružení se mohou obrátit při hledání vhodného realizátora, který zaručí efektivitu investovaných prostředků a bezpečnost celého kurzu. Pro zjednodušení je uvedena analýza pěti největších outdoorových agentur působících v současné době na českém trhu. Těžiště práce spočívá zejména v případové studii, která je uvedena na závěr teoretiké části. Zde je představen konkrétní firemní subjekt, který použil metodu outdoor trainingu k odstranění problému tak, aby nebránil dalšímu rozvoji firemní dynamiky. Program kurzu obsahuje přesně stanovené aktivity, hry a další úkoly, které mají za cíl utužit vztahy dvou firemních oddělení, z kterých má být vytvořen spolupracující a bezproblémově komunikující tým. Kurz je v závěru hodnocen z pohledu účastníků i lektorů, poukazuje na silné stránky a rezervy, navrhuje doporučení k odstranění těchto nedostatků. Vedoucím pracovníkům a manažerům má tato práce přinést ucelený pohled na dnes nejefektivnější a nejoblíbenější formu firemního vzdělávání a poradit, jakým způsobem a za jakých okolností ji lze úspěšně aplikovat.

Abstract:

The main purpose of my bachelor work is to introduce a new method called „outdoor training“ as an effective method of company training. Outdoor training is based on real situations, the participant´s active approach and resolution of a problematic situation. During this training there are simulated situations, games, dynamic tasks and adrenaline activities in the open air with a view to solving and overcoming all difficulties. This type of training brings us experience that can be utilized and applied in similar situations in the future. My essay consists of two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes four chapters. The first chapter tries to introduce and explain outdoor principles. The comparison of outdoor and indoor training as well as all options of outdoor programmes are mentioned in the second chapter. Everything about the most frequent types of programmes, especially teambuilding, is described in chapter number three. Chapter four, called „The Characteristics of Outdoor Providers and Participants“ will be useful for all readers, and includes a guide to choosing a suitable outdoor agency and an analysis of the five biggest and most popular outdoor agencies on the Czech market. The most important part of my essay represents a case study of a real firm which has a communication problem between the production and sales department. A short company history is introduced in this part as well as its business activities and contemporary situation on the market. Sixteen company employees went to the picturesque countryside of the Czech-moravian highlands and spent 2 days here. I also attached a daily programme for better orientation. All the applied games and tasks are described in detail, as are the final comments on how they benefit the participants and what futher instructions they show. Finally the course is assessed by trainers and participants, showing the firm´s strong and weak points, proposing different arrangements for their elimination. Outdoor training does not solve the problem, but tries to help with its elimination. My essay intends to introduce outdoor training as the most effective and modern method in company training and also advise managers and group leaders how and when they could apply it.
