Life Support to Seniors in a Domestic Violence Situation

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou domácího násilí páchaného na seniorech. Nastiňuje možné způsoby, kterými by šlo seniorům pomoci, aby se buď sami, nebo za podpory ostatních, dokázali domácímu násilí bránit. Práce obsahuje teoretické informace o domácím násilí, s podrobnějším zaměřením na násilí páchané na seniorech, získané studiem odborné literatury a dalších informačních zdrojů. Hlavní podstatou práce je kvantitativní výzkum, pomocí kterého by měly být získány poznatky o tom, zda se senioři a seniorky setkali s domácím násilím, jaké mají povědomí o možnostech prevence domácího násilí, kde tyto informace získali, nebo zda mají povědomí, kde informace získat. Cílem je veškeré znalosti aplikovat v budoucí praxi.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with the issue of domestic violence against seniors. It outlines the possible ways to help the elderly to resist the domestic violence either on their own or with the support of others. The work includes some theoretical information about domestic violence, with a detailed focus on violence against seniors, by studying literature and other information sources. The main essence of the work is a quantitative research which should show, whether seniors have experienced domestic violence, what their awareness of the prevention of domestic violence is, where they have found the information, or if they know where to get it. The aim is to apply all the knowledge in future practice.
