The impact of globalized food production on consumer taste preferences

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problémem vlivu globalizované produkce potravin na chuťové a další preference spotřebitele, řeší vliv globalizace na nákupní chování a hledá příčiny jednotlivých zjištění. Hlavním cílem práce je zjištění současných preferencí spotřebitele mezi lokálními a globalizovanými potravinami a dílčími cíli je zjištění hlavních rozdílů mezi masovou a domácí produkcí a odůvodnění příčin zjištěných preferencí. V teoretické části práce je čtenář seznámen principy globalizace, dále se dočte o vlivu životního stylu, dozví se o principech a motivech nákupního rozhodování a pozná kritéria multismyslového marketingu. V praktické části se za použití metod kvalitativního šetření v podobě experimentu s polouzavřeným dotazníkem a kvantitativního šetření v podobě uzavřeného online dotazníku čtenář dozví výsledky, které mohou být přínosem pro maloobchod i velkoobchod s potravinami.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of globalized food production and it’s impact on taste preferences and other preferences of the customer, it examines the impact of globalization on purchase behavior and looks for the causes of individual findings. The main goal is to determine the actual customer preferences between loacal and globalized food products and the partial goal is to determine main differences between mass production and domestic production and the justification of causes of the identified preferences. The reader is introduced with the principles of globalization within the first chapter of theoretical part following with the role of life style, purchase behavior motives and learns about the criteria of multisensory marketing. The practical part of the thesis uses the qualitative methods of experiment and sami-closed questionnaire with a subsequent quantitative questionnaire. The reader learns about the results which can be used both within the retail and within wholesale businesses.
