The main concern of the thesis is to depict the perception of home and the experience of loss, by the child protagonist in the selected novels written by Charles Dickens (Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, Nicholas Nickleby). Hlavním cílem práce je zachytit vnímání domova dětských protagonistů a jejich prožitek z jeho ztráty. Předmětem analýzy jsou vybraná díla Charlese Dickense (Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, Nicholas Nickleby). Teoretická část vysvětluje pojmy jako prostor, místo, topofílie, domov či bezdomovectví.
