Seniors awareness about the possibilities how to ensure their safety

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá typy či druhy informací, kterých senioři žijící sami nebo ve společné domácnosti se svými blízkými, mají nedostatek, protože právě jejich absence pro ně představuje určitá rizika, či jim dokonce brání v dosahování jejich potřeb, zejména potřeby bezpečí. Tato práce zkoumá, zda jsou senioři dostatečně informováni o kladech a hlavně záporech, které mohou nastat při vstupu do právního vztahu s cizí osobou a také o podmínkách osobní účasti na nabízených akcích i o důsledcích, které mohou vzniknout podpisem dokumentů, kterým nejsou senioři schopni porozumět. Dále je tato práce zaměřena na využití stávajících zdrojů, které senioři v současné době využívají k získávání potřebných informací a jejich možného rozšíření dle návrhů seniorů. Cílem této diplomové práce je odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jaké možnosti nabízí sociální poradenství pro zvýšení potřeby bezpečí seniorů žijících ve vlastní domácnosti?“ V teoretické části diplomové práce je objasněn výběr cílové skupiny, potřeba bezpečí a její druhy, poradenství, podstata informací, dále je zde vysvětlen pojem komunikace a faktory, které ji ovlivňují, možnosti sociálního poradenství a představen region, na který je práce zaměřena. Empirická část obsahuje metodologii výzkumu, operacionalizaci do dílčích výzkumných otázek a interpretaci dat zjištěných výzkumem.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with types or kinds of information that seniors living alone or in households with loved ones lack, because in this very absence it represents certin risks. It can even prevent the from the achievement of their needs, especially safety needs. This paper examines whether older people are adequately informed about the pros and mostly the cons that may occur when entering into a legal relationship with a foreign person, and about the conditions of personal involvement in the offered events and the consequences which may arise with signing the documents that are difficult for seniors to undestand. Furthermore, this work focuses on the use of existing resources which seniors currently use to obtain the necessary information and the possible extension of it, designed by seniors. The aim of this thesis is to answer the research question: „Which opportunities offer social consulting for increased needs of seniors, living in their own household? In the theorethic part of disseration is being clarified the selection of target audience, need of safety and its types, consulting, the essence of information, then it is being explained the term communication and factors, which are influying it. Possibilites of social consulting and introducing the region, which this work is focused on. The empirical part includes the research methodology, operationalization in specific research questions and the interpretation of data research findings.
