Oncological diseases are a permanent problem -- incidence is rising, mortality remains high. The later the patient is diagnosed with a disease, the lower is the chance of recovery. Onkologická onemocnění představují stálý problém -- incidence stoupá, mortalita je pořád vysoká. Čím později je pacientům onemocnění diagnostikováno, tím menší je šance na záchranu. Proto vznikl (nejenom) kolorektální skríning -- jeho cílem je diagnostikovat pacienty s kolorektálním karcinomem ještě v prvním stádiu (příp. druhém) a zvýšit jim tak šanci na kvalitnější a delší život.
