The scope of the birth plan and the midwife competency

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit subjektivní vnímání a prožívání porodu u rodiček se sestaveným porodním plánem. Druhým cílem bylo zjistit důvody, které ženy vedou k sestavení porodního plánu. Dalším cílem bylo zjistit priority rodičky zmíněné v porodním plánu. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 8 rodiček se sestaveným porodním plánem, které rodily v nemocničním zařízení. Po splnění daných kritérií ženy písemně odpověděly na otázky k rozhovoru. Na základě výroků byly vytvořeny kategorie a podkategorie. Výsledky: Z výsledků vyplynulo, že ženy si porodní plán sestavují na základě negativní zkušenosti z předchozího porodu. Dále bylo zjištěno, že nejčastějším zdroje informací byl pro ženy internet. Z výpovědí také vyplývá, že ne všichni zdravotničtí pracovníci vnímají porodní plán jako přínos. Závěr: Porodní plán je dnes rodičkami čím dál více využíván. Důležité je, aby rodička čerpala informace k sestavení porodního plánu z ověřených zdrojů. Péče o rodící ženu se stále zlepšuje. Každá žena prožívá porod jiným způsobem a má u něj rozdílná přání a představy. Cílem lékařů a porodních asistentek by měla být péče na takové úrovni, že porodní plány nebudou potřeba.

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of the work was to analyze the subjective perception and the experience of give birth women with a planned birth plan. The second goal was to find out the reasons behind females´ decisions to create a birth plan. Another objective was to identify the priorities in the birth plan. Methodology: The research group consisted of 8 women who gave birth at a hospital with birth plan. After meeting the criteria, the females answered questions in writing. The categories and subcategories were created based on their statements. Results: The results show that women have a birth plan based on a negative experience from their previous give birth. It was also proven that the most common source of the information was Internet. The testimonies also showed that not all medical staff perceives the birth plan as a benefit to the process of giving birth. Conclusion: The analysis shows that number of birth plans is increasing. It is important that the women use verified information sources to create the birth plan. The caring for a pregnant woman has improved. Every woman has experiences of give birth in different ways and has different wishes and ideas. The goal of doctors and midwives should be to maintain a level of care that the birth plans are no longer needed.
